Although What's on in Exeter began its life with the purpose of primarily advertising live music entertainment in Exeter, we have now received so many requests from our many subscribers to include more diverse information that we've had to overhaul the site to reflect these changes. We hope you will find that it is now less cluttered and easier to navigate.

Dartmouth Regatta is centred around a programme of rowing & sailing events but there is also a programme of activities including air displays, fireworks, a large fair, pavement painting, children's crab fishing & many other smaller events that happen in & around the town centre.

Exeter City Centre

Exeter city centre will be brought to life with dozens of exciting live music & art performances.

There will also be family-friendly drop-in circus skills workshops led by professionals taking place in the Princesshay shopping centre throughout the day.


More events in the High Street, Guildhall Shopping Centre & the independent shopping quarters in Fore Street and Gandy Street.

Local makers who will be at the event include, Totnes based One & Eight, who design and make porcelain jewellery, Alison Whately who focuses on textile artwork and Habulous, the creation of Insideout owners, Nicky & Paul Edmunds and features handmade items including Eco Soya wax melts, Hand-thrown jugs, Porcelain jewellery & Wooden letters.

About Africa

A fascinating talk/lecture which is all about the urbanisation of Africa and how the rural people over
Harry Hook's lifetime have moved and migrated into cities.


His talk is based on how he went back to find these people that he'd filmed and photographed so long ago and it was all captured in a film which
featured on BBC..
